The Current Labor Force Participation Rate for February is 63.4% unchanged from January. A higher Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) is considered better. The LFPR fell in the aftermath of the 2008 recession and is still trying to recover. The labor force participation rate refers to the number of people available for work as a percentage of the total population. In February 2020, it was 63.4%.
